After some dicking around with hats and wristlets, I have just committed to Cherie Amour. (The sweater I've been waiting for!) I bought the last (so you can't see it on the page anymore) of handpaintedyarn.com's merino bulky in Sunflowers, a saffron golden yellow that's a bit of a risk but damn, I bet it'll look good over a grapey-winey camisole and some dark wide-leg jeans (or maybe forest-green pants?).
The decision was considerably more fraught, and nearly as satisfying, as the decision to marry my husband. (Only because the latter was just so obviously right.)
I can totally see you in this. Awesome choice.

I am tempted by this, but I'm not sure it would look good on the bigger-butted individual. Just because the sizing goes up that high doesn't mean that it'll look good, you know? Ah well, it's not like I don't have anything else to knit, my list is a mere 102 items long.

I've been loving that sweater, but I don't think my skills are there yet. Sigh.

I don't know, Jenn -- it seems like one of those universally flattering shapes! Might accentuate a booty rather nicely...

What a coincidence -- the swatching skein I ordered for Cherie Amour arrived this morning. KnitPicks Andean Silk, in chocolate, in case you care :).
I'm not sure I like the color -- KnitPicks is the worst about the catalog photos not matching the actual product too well. It feels lovely, though, so I'm going to knit a big swatch with it and see if I like how it knits up, while I order a color card or five.
Are you on Ravelry yet?
